You're Kidding, Right?!

According to several articles, one linked here, McDonalds' coffee has been chosen as the best coffee available from a national chain- apparently including such giants as Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. McDonald's!! I just can't believe it.

However, if this article is to be believed, McDonald's gets its coffee from Starbucks. Which possibility can't be double checked on the McDonald's website- at least not so that I found. I didn't really dig much though. I'm still in shock, truth be told.

McDonalds. Horrifying.

I don't drink coffee but I do buy it for friends and family and there is only one place they want their coffee from - Tim Horton's (donut shop on every corner up here in Canada - I think they put crack in it but I can't judge - I have my own demons ;)) And yes, that's over Starbucks or any other chain.

MacDonalds coffee here is THE WORST!! I always have to add triple the amount of milk and sweetner than I do to other coffees!!! And they don't even have decaff. I ordered one once and it was instant *blech!* And like Cindy says, the coffee here in Canada is Timmies! You should see the line-ups at the drive throughs here in the mornings! Although I get mine on the morning in to work at another much smaller chain called Williams. But MacDonalds? Shudder

Yes, ladies, Consumer Reports really doesn't know squat about coffee.

As to Tim Horton's, I've heard of them & hope to visit one when next we venture North of the border.

I'm still speechless that anyone could think McDs coffee beats anyone- much less Starbucks or Horton's or D. Donuts, etc!
